Simulated Vibration Test of Automotive AC Control Panel

Vibration testingDIC system

As a key interior component of the vehicle, the automotive HVAC control panel must withstand various vibration loads over long-term use. Therefore, simulated vibration testing to evaluate its durability is essential during R&D and production. The Haytham monocular 3D visual strain gauge played an important role in simulated vibration testing of automotive HVAC control panels. Using monocular 3D DIC technology with high-precision cameras and advanced image processing algorithms, the instrument achieves real-time, non-contact measurement of panel strain and displacement during vibration.

In the simulated vibration test, the panel was fixed on a vibration table and subjected to vibration at specific frequencies and amplitudes. With just a single camera, the Haytham monocular 3D visual strain gauge captured subtle deformation and displacement during vibration. In particular, Y-direction strain and displacement data were acquired and analyzed in real time, quantifying the impact of vibration on the structural integrity of the panel.

Detailed analysis of the Y-direction strain and displacement data reveals the stress distribution and deformation behavior of the panel under vibration loads. These data help identify potential fatigue points or design flaws, enabling corresponding design optimization or material improvements to enhance panel durability and reliability.
