DIC Visuotactile Sensor

A multimodal tactile sensing solution based on DIC vision measurement technology

The DIC visuotactile sensor is a multimodal intelligent sensor that combines visual perception with tactile feedback. Through optical imaging and DIC image analysis technology, the product senses and resolves information such as deformation, pressure, displacement, slip, texture, normal force, and tangential force during object contact, achieving high-precision, high-resolution, full-field distributed contact state measurement and mechanical force sensing.
Designed for robotic dexterous manipulation, fine grasping, and complex contact control scenarios, the DIC visuotactile sensor provides the system with more comprehensive, more detailed, and more stable tactile data support.

Product Advantages

  • 1Simultaneously acquires multidimensional information including normal pressure, tangential force, slip, deformation, and texture, meeting the needs of complex contact state recognition and fine manipulation control;
  • 2Breaks through traditional point-based and discrete tactile acquisition methods to obtain full-field data distribution across an entire tactile "skin", forming high-density stress/deformation contour maps that provide a more complete data foundation for perception and control;
  • 3Based on 3D spatial calibration, different spatial positions offer higher consistency and measurement reliability, making it suitable for tactile sensing scenarios with high spatial accuracy requirements;
  • 4Supports micrometre-level deformation measurement and millinewton-level force sensing, enabling recognition of subtler contact changes and improving the robot's ability to manipulate complex objects;
  • 5Adopts a non-electrical tactile sensing approach, suitable for stable measurement in motors, servo systems, and environments with strong electromagnetic interference;
  • 6The sensing method is close to the tactile mechanism of human skin, making it suitable for grasping and manipulation with robotic dexterous hands, flexible grippers, and delicate, soft, or irregular targets.
