Monocular 3D Video Extensometer
As a key component in power systems, the reactor's stability and reliability directly affect the operational safety of the power system. During operation, a reactor may vibrate under electromagnetic forces; if such vibration exceeds a certain limit, it can negatively affect the structural integrity and service life of the equipment. Testing and analyzing the vibration of reactors under operating conditions is therefore particularly important.
1. Testing Requirements
In this reactor vibration test, the customer needed to precisely measure the vibration frequency and amplitude of the reactor under different operating conditions, with particular attention to the strain distribution on its surface. Given the large size of the reactor and the complexity of the test environment, conventional contact sensors might not provide comprehensive and accurate data, so a non-contact measurement device with high dynamic response capability was required.
2. Solution
With monocular 3D DIC technology, the Haytham monocular 3D high-speed visual strain gauge achieves 3D strain measurement with only one set of high-speed camera and lens. Its non-contact measurement is particularly suitable for vibration testing in complex environments, precisely capturing the dynamic strain distribution on the reactor surface without affecting the normal operation of the reactor.
In this reactor vibration test, the Haytham monocular 3D high-speed visual strain gauge demonstrated the following advantages:
1. Non-contact measurement: Through a high-speed camera and DIC technology, the device performs non-contact strain measurement on the reactor surface, avoiding the installation difficulties and measurement errors of conventional sensors and ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

2. High dynamic response: In vibration testing, the device captures dynamic strain changes on the reactor surface in real time at a high frame rate, providing accurate vibration frequency and amplitude data that help the customer fully analyze the vibration characteristics of the reactor.

3. Full-field strain measurement: Unlike conventional single-point measurement, the device performs full-field strain measurement on the reactor surface, comprehensively capturing the strain distribution of the reactor under vibration and providing the customer with detailed vibration analysis data.
In this reactor vibration test, the Haytham monocular 3D high-speed visual strain gauge successfully captured and analyzed the vibration strain data of the reactor under different operating conditions. The high dynamic response and non-contact measurement of the device ensured data accuracy, providing key support for the customer to gain an in-depth understanding of the vibration characteristics of the reactor.
