Monocular 3D Video Extensometer
In soil tensile tests, the material has low overall strength and a loose structure; during tension, highly concentrated strain, fissure initiation, and rapid propagation easily occur, and the failure mode shows distinct 3D non-uniform characteristics. Traditional displacement transducers or single-point measurement methods can only obtain the overall tensile displacement, and can hardly reveal the true evolution process of soil tensile failure. To meet this testing need, Haytham Technology has launched the monocular 3D DIC visual strain gauge, providing a reliable 3D full-field strain measurement solution for soil tensile tests.

The Haytham monocular 3D DIC is based on single-camera 3D reconstruction and digital image correlation algorithms. Through continuous acquisition and analysis of the deformation features on the specimen surface, it obtains the 3D displacement field and full-field strain distribution during tensile loading without contacting the soil. This method clearly identifies strain concentration regions, crack initiation locations, and propagation paths, providing an intuitive basis for analyzing the soil tensile failure mechanism.
