In static loading tests of special-shaped columns, DIC 3D full-field strain measurement can provide more comprehensive structural response analysis. By observing the displacement at the top, the specimen is first loaded to 1 mm, and within one cycle it is measured whether this displacement has reached the expected force value. If the expected force value is not reached, loading continues until the set force value is reached, and measurement continues. After the force value reaches the expectation, the test continues loading to 1.5 mm for another measurement cycle, thereby ensuring the strain behavior and mechanical response of the structure under different loading states.

Using the Haytham DIC technology , this process can not only accurately record the strain data of the structure at different loading stages, but also monitor and analyze in real time the full-field strain distribution of the special-shaped column during loading. This full-field strain data provides a more intuitive and detailed reference for subsequent analysis, helping to assess the stability, mechanical performance and potential buckling risk of the structure under different loads.
Through such dynamic loading and monitoring, Haytham DIC can deliver high-precision measurement results, making the performance evaluation of the structure under static loading more reliable and comprehensive.
