Haytham The Red Box video extensometer is a non-contact extensometer based on advanced DIC (digital image correlation) technology, widely used in mechanical property testing of materials. The device captures deformation images of the specimen during loading through high-precision cameras and computes in real time with dedicated software, outputting accurate deformation and strain data. The Red Box video extensometer comes in 2D and 3D series for different testing needs.
2Dvideo extensometer is a single-camera non-contact extensometer suitable for deformation measurement in the 2D plane. With a high-resolution camera and advanced image processing algorithms, it outputs specimen deformation data in real time and supports full-field displacement and strain measurement.

Main functions
• Residual grayscale field measurement: can measure the width and length of crack propagation.
• Boundary recognition measurement: computes width deformation data at 32 locations.
• Automatic marker recognition: supports automatic recognition of markers such as circles, horizontal lines, crosses and QR codes.
• n-value and r-value measurement: the strain selection range can be adjusted to measure n-value and r-value.
• Stress-strain curve generation: acquire testing machine force data in real time and generate stress-strain curves.
• Manual gauge setting: set the distance between markers by manually inputting the gauge length.
• High-precision measurement: meets the JJG762-2007 class 0.5 accuracy requirement.
• High/low temperature measurement: measurable temperature range from -190℃ to 2300℃.
• Wide strain range: measurable strain range 0-1000%.
• Multi-gauge measurement: simultaneous axial and transverse multi-gauge measurement.
• Fatigue frequency-reduced measurement: equipped with a fatigue frequency-reduction module, it fits the fatigue loading curve from the fatigue testing machine's analog signal and performs cross-cycle deformation data acquisition.
• Reduction of area and post-fracture elongation measurement: high-precision measurement through multiple camera sets.
3Dvideo extensometerBased on single-camera 3D DIC (digital image correlation) technology, it is suitable for deformation measurement in 3D space.
