Metro Vibration Detection

Metro vibration detectionTrack displacement detection

During the operation of metro lines, the track and surrounding structures are subjected to vibration and stress generated by passing trains. If these vibrations accumulate over a long period, they may affect the stability and service life of the track system. Therefore, vibration testing and safety assessment are key links in ensuring the continuous and safe operation of the metro system.

With its unique non-contact measurement technology, the Haytham offline visual tracker can accurately capture the tiny displacement changes of the track and its surrounding structures under train vibration. Using high-speed digital cameras and subpixel positioning algorithms, the instrument tracks and analyzes multiple natural feature points on the track and structure surfaces, without arranging any physical targets or sensors, avoiding the installation difficulties and measurement interference that traditional sensors may bring.

In actual operation, the offline visual tracker can record the vibration data of the track and structures when trains pass in real time, and by analyzing these data, provides high-precision horizontal and vertical vibration displacement information. This high-precision testing method helps engineers identify abnormal vibration patterns of the track or structures and discover potential hazards such as structural fatigue, micro-cracks or looseness in advance.
