High-Temperature Tensile Test of Rebar (Featureless Recognition)

Rebar tensile testingHigh-temperature extensometer

In steel performance evaluation, high-temperature tensile testing is an important means of verifying heat-resistant strength and ductility. However, for rebar with rough, highly reflective, and complexly textured surfaces, conventional contact extensometers often fail to work stably; even conventional optical methods require sprayed marking points or speckle patterns, which tend to burn off or peel in high-temperature environments, interrupting data or increasing error.

To solve this problem, the test team adopted Haytham'shigh-temperature DIC visual strain measurement system, which achieves strain tracking without marking points using optimized image recognition algorithms. By intelligently recognizing and matching subtle changes in the rebar's natural surface texture, the system stably tracks deformation even at temperatures above 1000°C, delivering continuous strain-displacement data.

Throughout the test, no surface treatment or extra spraying was needed, greatly simplifying preparation. The system automatically filters out high-temperature radiation and background interference, outputs strain curves and fracture deformation parameters in real time, and its results agree closely with standard test methods.
