Monocular 3D Video Extensometer
Haytham's monocular 2D high-temperature video extensometer adopts laser speckle technology. No marking points need to be placed on the specimen surface; instead, laser illumination produces natural speckle patterns. These patterns change with specimen deformation, and the video extensometer measures deformation by capturing and analyzing their displacement. Even at the extreme temperature of 2300℃, this technology delivers stable, accurate results.
Haytham's monocular 2D video extensometer overcomes various adverse factors in high-temperature environments through non-contact optical measurement. By capturing images of the specimen surface and processing them with digital image correlation, it analyzes material deformation in real time. Specifically, in the 900℃ tensile test of superalloy steel, the video extensometer accurately tracks minute deformation on the material surface and transmits the data directly to the MTS test machine software via software communication.
In shear strength testing of aluminum alloys, DIC technology provides comprehensive strain data and shear strength information, helping evaluate material performance in practical applications.
Using Haytham's standardized DIC technology in biaxial tensile testing of composite materials, such heterogeneous and anisotropic mechanical properties can be measured efficiently and accurately, with experimental data available for composite design and engineering applications.
The dynamic deformation and failure process of materials under high-speed impact, and their dynamic mechanical properties, are a hot topic in impact mechanics research.
